FULL POINTS FOR DROMORE AFTER CHANGE AROUND

IN a rearranged game played last Thursday at home the Dromore 'A' team did not enjoy the first half of the game against St Stephen's when they found themselves down eight shots and only one rink up.
What a big change in the second half with St Stephens only scoring another 11 shots and Dromore scoring 73 to take full points.

Rink 1: W Clinghan, H Hylands, T Wilson, D Shanks.

Rink 2: B Paylor, J Elliott, F Cranney, J McKenny.

Rink 3: D G
raham, G Dawson, K Aiken, A Johnston.

Rink 4: R Wills, G Clinghan, D Burns, SG Malcomson.

In the first five ends Dromore had a lead of three. Shanks was at four with SG three in front, McKenny down one and Johnston three.

There was a shock for the home team when the 10 ends score was posted with the visitors ahead by eight. Shanks was the only rink ahead by two, McKenny and Johnston were down by three and SG by four.

Things were looking a lot better at three quarter stage with the home team ahead by 20 with all rinks up. Shanks was at seven, McKenny at six, Johnston four and SG three to the good.

In the last six ends the visitors were outplayed by Dromore recording a 50 shot victory, Shanks had a welcome win of 12, McKenny was 14 to the good with Johnston at 11 and SG did not concede a single shot, finishing strongly at 17 ahead.

- DROMORE senior team had a very important league game away to Maple Leaf last Saturday knowing that the points were very vital in their push for promotion to senior one and they came home with five points in a 28 shot victory.

Rink 1: R Wills, G Clinghan, D Burns, SG Malcomson.

Rink 2: D Graham, G Dawson, K Aiken, A Johnston.

Rink 3: D Adair, H Hylands, T Wilson, D Shanks.

Rink 4: B Paylor, J Elliott, F Cranney, J McKenny.

After a closely fought five ends the seniors were in the red by two with Johnston the only rink ahead by four. Shanks was down a single, McKenny was down by two and SG by three.

At the halfway stage Dromore had moved into a nine shot lead. The damage was mainly done by Johnston ahead by eight with McKenny four to the good, Shanks still a single down and SG now two down.

At three quarter stage the locals were pushing for the winning post with 14 shots to spare. Johnston was still going well at 15 up, McKenny was two ahead, Shanks was all square and SG was down by three.

In the final six ends the locals pushed on to win by 28, a big win for Johnston at 21, McKenny was well ahead at 13, SG was down by two and Shanks by four.

For your diary: The 'A' team are at home against Newry on Wednesday 2 July; On Saturday they are at home against Bessbrook.

The 'B' team are away to 13th Old Boys.
