STUDENTS STRIDE AHEAD FOR ACTION MS

STUDENTS from Banbridge High School have received awards following their efforts on a recent Walk for MS.
The school is a committed supporter of the Walk for MS programme and over 260 pupils joined the Action MS Walks Team at Tollymore Forest Park on Friday, 16 May.
Altogether the High School raised a fantastic total of over £4,000 for Action MS, Northe
rn Ireland's leading multiple sclerosis charity.
In thanking the school Mrs Rosemary Gribben, School Projects Officer, paid tribute to the pupils, the parents who care and the teachers who lead by example.
"The Walks for MS are both educational and fun, helping to teach a new generation about this condition. Banbridge High School once again gave their full support to the Walk for MS ensuring it was both memorable and very successful for all involved," she added.
Charity Co-ordinator at the school, Miss McClelland, said: "Banbridge High School is happy to support Action MS year on year, many pupils have taken part in the Walks for MS and we would like to continue this association."

Action MS also offers tailor made support for children who have a parent with multiple sclerosis. Action MS Medicare Holidays and Residential Breaks for Young People are fun holidays for people with multiple sclerosis and offer respite opportunities for the family and carers.
